Three Wheel leaning Motorcycle

Ok, here is the initial post to get things started.

Firstly this is all inspired by my passion for performance road bikes but for my dislike of getting killed or worst still maimed.

I would like a (so would many others?) a motorbike that has the exhilarating handling and performance that we expect of any 1990's plus road bike with the looks to match but also to include a F1 style safety cell around the Rider.

So first things first, search to see what is available and what others are working on. The silver with orange nose tike, is the first project I found, which is close to what I'm thinking about but has one major fault, it doesn't lean around corners! Which makes the motorcycle wheels work kind of stupid but aesthetically it's OK.

Ok I can't not mention the Carver. (Grey two seater) It looks a lot like what I’m after,

Except it is active tilting!, it doesn't really lean around corners as it should it leans over hydraulically after you have turned into the corner. Not ideal, though I wouldn't say no to the opportunity to drive one.

The Peugeot LIION (top, orange)

is very close to what I’m after, leans, 2 front, 1 back wheel layout makes a lot more sense stabilty wise when not leaning and when braking) and looks kind of right.

Sadly only a concept drawings made for Peugeot annual design competition.

But it's a starting point, it's the closest thing I can find to what I've been thinking of and shows that the concept can be packaged to look good (as opposed to some of my sketches).

So what next? Workout the mechanics of the tilting suspension!
